Com o longa brasileiro “O Agente Secreto” concorrendo em duas categorias, a 35ª edição do Gotham Awards, organizada pelo The Gotham Film & Media Institute, acontece nesta segunda-feira (1º), em Nova York. Para o público no Brasil, a cerimônia começa a partir das 21h (horário de Brasília) e será transmitida ao vivo pelo YouTube da Variety.
O filme interpretado por Wagner Moura concorre a Melhor Roteiro Original e a Melhor Performance de Protagonista. O ator baiano ainda marca presença como apresentador na cerimônia da premiação, uma das mais tradicionais do cinema independente nos Estados Unidos, que abre oficialmente a temporada de premiações de Hollywood.
Entre os destaques, estão o filme “Uma Batalha Após a Outra”, de Paul Thomas Anderson, que recebeu seis indicações, incluindo a de Melhor Filme, e “Se Eu Tivesse Pernas, Eu Te Chutaria”, de Mary Bronstein, que disputa em quatro categorias.
